Limit 1: account risk
Decide how much you’re willing to lose if the trade fails (say 1.5% of account), divide by how far it could drop before you’re out. On 50 SOL, risking 0.75 SOL on a coin you’d exit at −30% means a ~2.5 SOL position.
Limit 2: pool liquidity
Your trade moves the pool. As a rough guide, price impact in a constant-product pool is about your SOL in ÷ pool SOL. On Memecoin Funded one trade can use at most 2% of pool SOL. A pool with 300 SOL caps a single trade at 6 SOL.
Limit 3: account caps
| Account | Per-coin cap | Daily loss | Max loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 SOL | 5 SOL (20%) | 2.5 SOL | 5 SOL |
| 50 SOL | 7.5 SOL (15%) | 5 SOL | 10 SOL |
| 100 SOL | 10 SOL (10%) | 10 SOL | 20 SOL |
Put it together
Size = the smallest of the three. Most blown challenges come from ignoring limit 1 because limit 3 “allows” more. The cap is a ceiling, not a target.
